How To Enter Client Into Yext
What is Yext?
We first use Yext to audit a business’ citations. What already exists out there and is it accurate business information? We then use Yext to create directory listings. This is the only way to get some listings (Yahoo and Bing come to mind).
- Go to Yext.com
- Log in and Click On Location Manager
- +Add A New Location
- Enter the Client’s business Core Information – copy this information from their Google My Business (GMB) page:
- business name
- primary category
- address – if a client wants their address hidden click on Hide Address in Listing.
- Leave the “We Deliver or provide…” Blank
- main phone
- featured message: something like “Contact Us for a Free Estimate” or “24/7 Emergency Service”; website
- click Continue
- In Business Details complete the following matching their GMB page
- description
- hours
- website
- Now in the Media section, we’ll add business images. When you Add the Logo and Photos these need to be Titled in their Company Name and Main Keyword/Main City. Search “How To Create Images for Citations”
- add logo – alt text should be same as image title
- add images to photo gallery (client photos, preferably work being done)
- Leave the rest blank. Then Click on Add Services on the right sidebar
- Click On $35/Month and Add to Cart. DO NOT SELECT THE ONE’S THAT ARE ANNUALLY. Click on Checkout.
- Click On Process Order. And you’re Finished!
