How To Setup A Clickfunnels Subdomain for Running Ads
This is for creating a subdomain with BigWestMarketing.com that is associated with a Clickfunnels landing page. This is required for Google Ads and Facebook Ads and just looks better to potential clients.
- Log into Sucuri.net
- Click on Website Firewall at the top of the screen
- On bigwestmarketing.com click on the gear icon > DNS
- Select CNAME from dropdown
- Type in subdomain. Ex: pressurewashingbook > TTL 2 Hours > Points to: target.clickfunnels.com > Click “Ad DNS Record” button
- Open another tab and log into Clickfunnels
- Click the profile pic of Joe in upper right corner > Account Settings
- Click the “Add New Domain” button > Click “Add Your Own Domain”
- Copy and paste from Sucuri the enter subdomain url. Ex: pressurewashingbook.bigwestmarketing.com > Click “Add Domain” button
- Click “I’ve done this step” button > Click “Check Now” button. You may have to wait an hour or so to verify.
- After its verified click on Domain > Next to Default click “Expand” button and choose funnel landing page from list
- Next to 404 / Error Page click “Expand” button and choose funnel landing page from list
- Next to SSL click “Expand” button and choose funnel landing page from list > Click “Add SSL” button and wait 15+ minutes > Go back to SSL and click “Check Now” button.
- After it says “secured” Test subdomain to make sure it is assigned to correct landing page.
- If its distorted you will probably need to change up the Paths in Settings > Path and gear icon under preview thumbnail > Path. They will need to be changed. I think this happens when a funnel is cloned instead of created from scratch
NOTE: Under Settings > Domain > Leave Blank
