How To Create A Recurring Payment In PayPal

    1. Go to Tools > Recurring Payment

 

    1. Select "Create a Recurring Payment Profile" (right column, bottom of list)

 

    1. Fill in Product / Service
        1. ex: Web Design  /  Hosting  /  SEO / SEO Website / Google Ads Set-Up

       

    2. Enter credit card information

 

    1. Under "Billing Information," you only need to fill in the first and last name

 

    1. Fill in the date when payments will begin

 

    1. Fill in "Payment Cycle"
      1. SEO, Hosting, Google Ads Maintenance, Web Design Payments = 1 month
      2. SEO website split into two payments = 2 weeks
      3. BE CAREFUL! If you click around in this area, the selection may switch to the other radio button.

       

    2. The "Number of Recurring Payments" depends on the type of service.
      1. For web design, put 12 payments
      2. For monthly SEO, review the client's agreement! There may not be a end date or it may be payments at one price for 12 months and then lowered after that.
      3. For hosting and Google Ads Maintenance, select "No end date"
      4. For SEO website split into two payments, enter 2
      5. BE CAREFUL! If you click around in this area, the selection may switch to the other radio button.

       

    3.  Enter price - amount depends on the service.
      1. Hosting: $27
      2. SEO /  Google Ads Maintenance: check agreement

       

    4. Enter the security code and select "continue". You'll have a chance to review the information before you submit the payment. After submission, it will indicate whether or not the payment was successful. If it gives you an error that the bank is blocking the transaction, call the client so they can alert their bank to allow the transaction to go through or you can get another card.

 

  1. IMPORTANT: If the recurring payment starts the same day, go to the Activity page to check if the transaction went through. You'll see where the profile was created and, if the payment went through, there will be another line with that information (payment completed).
