How To Modify A Client’s Credit Card In PayPal

  1. Login into PayPal and select Activity in the nav bar
  2. You can search by the client's last name or profile id by selecting from the drop-down
  3. Click on the client's name and then on "View Recurring Payment Details"
  4. Choose "modify" in their Profile Information
  5. Click "Enter new card number" and scroll down to submit the information
  6. If the update is successful, you'll see a screen that says "You successfully updated this profile". Then select "View profile details"
  7. After three failed attempts to process a payment, PayPal will no longer try to do so. Therefore, scroll down to the "Payment Summary" and click on "Collect Now" to force the payment to be processed. You can check if the payment goes through by going to the activity screen. It may take a couple of minutes, so refresh the screen to check. If there isn't a link that says "Collect Now", PayPal will automatically process the payment on the next payment date.
  8. If the client is in collections and the payment goes through, go to Salesforce and go to the "Home" tab. Under the gear icon select "Edit Page".
  9. Click on the appropriate section ("Collections" or "Suspended")  and delete the client's name from the list.
  10. Finally, in your Google Drive. Go to the Collections Spreadsheet and delete the client's name from the list.
